Hi everyone.
I've just posted a two-part blog series covering everything you need to know about running WebAssembly on Kubernetes. This is gonna be huge, and the blog posts get you right up to speed!
WasmIO
I recently attended the first ever WasmIO conference in Barcelona and can honestly say it’s the best tech conference I've attended since the early DockerCon and KubeCon events. There's a great energy in the Wasm community and everyone's super nice and super helpful. I highly recommend you attend next year.
KubeCon EU
KubeCon in Amsterdam is just around the corner and I'm expecting to see solid growth in the amount of Wasm-related content and vendors. I’m also bringing some Wasm stickers!
Docker
Docker recently added support for WebAssembly in Docker Desktop, and I know they continue to work on adding support for more Wasm runtimes such as wasmtime, spin, and slight.
Despite a recent misstep that caused a stir in the community, Docker Inc demonstrated its willingness to listen and ultimately made a courageous choice to reverse the decision. Having had the privilege of glimpsing some of the internal discussions that led to the reversal, I can honestly say there's a great culture at the company
Docker celebrated their 10th birthday and Fermyon celebrated their 1st!
Fermyon
Fermyon released spin 1.0, the first production ready release (those are my words). They're constantly adding features, but the 1.0 moniker is always significant.
That's all for now, I’d love to see you at KubeCon if you're attending.
